Album Visuals for Adhitya Sofyan’s Stubborn Heart

One of John’s standout projects is the album cover shoot for Indonesian singer Adhitya Sofyan’s Stubborn Heart—a release infused with ‘80s-inspired city pop sounds. Sharing a common ground in the music industry, John found it easier to connect with Aditya’s artistic vision and translate the mood of the songs into visual storytelling. The concept blended street and vintage aesthetics, leading the team on a full-day shoot across Jakarta. The cover was captured at the Bundaran HI MRT station, while additional scenes were shot at the retro-style Hotel Capital in Glodok, chosen for its authentically vintage interior, and at an old-school arcade café in Jelambar called Kedai Kopi Kuno.

John's deep appreciation for vintage culture was evident throughout the process: from scouting nostalgic locations to curating era-appropriate outfits, even going as far as hunting for shoes and blazers for the artist to wear, and bringing his own collection of antique stool as a prop to complete the visual atmosphere.
