Monita Tahalea (Stapled Version)

Back in 2019, singer-songwriter Monita Tahalea dragged John into a visual playground for The Editors Club magazine, alongside artistic director Jonathan Andy Tan. Dressed to the nines in sleek CK Calvin Klein wardrobe, John ditched all digital safety nets to shoot the entire editorial on instant film. But the real mad-scientist hour started post-shoot: Jonathan came up with the wild idea to physically slice the polaroid frames open and staple them together to form a stitched panoramic landscape. Because nothing says high fashion quite like heavy-duty stationery, chemical emulsion, and analogue reconstruction.
